When suturing requires time
MonoPlus® is a long term tear-resistant, monofilament suture material. MonoPlus® is therefore particularly valued in veterinary practices and clinics for abdominal wall closure, colon surgery and orthopaedic procedures. MonoPlus® is characterised by its good knot pull tensile strength.
Indications
- Orthopaedic surgery, capsular suturing
- Colon surgery
- Abdominal wall closure

- Degradation profile designed where an extended wound support is desirable
- Wide range of needle-thread combinations
- Good knot pull tensile strength retention

The monofilament advantages
- The monofilament sutures appear to have the lowest infection promoting effects [1-4]
- Compared with braided multifilament sutures, absorbable monofilaments exhibit less tissue drag and cause less tearing because of their smooth surfaces [5]
